Reiki Talk: What Is It & Why Are People Obsessed

Reiki is form of energy healing that has roots in the Eastern World, Egypt, and India. However, after thousands and thousands of years, when the original traditions and practices were no longer alive it was resurrected in Japan by Dr. Mikao Usui, a monk and scholar, who gave Reiki its name.

It’s a holistic form of healing where the practioner uses their hands, sort of like a conductor, to share energy to the recipient. That energy that universal life force, is something that gives life to all living beings and when it’s tapped into it provides many benefits (spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and physically).  Reiki has no limitations, it is divine, it is pure energy from life itself. So, when we regularly tap into it we are aligning ourselves, balancing ourselves, and have the abilities to prevent future ailments.

A full Reiki treatment, which can be around 1 hour, reopens the recipent’s chakras and bring the flow of energy back into balance. As a bonus, it even cleanses our body of any toxins from bad habits and unhealthy choices in our lifestyle. Everyone is different, and not everything can be solved in just one session. Reiki is a natural healing method and asks the recipient also goes on to make good/healthy choices and in some cases come back for an additional session.
